Pros

Benefits, the people are passionate, kind, focused, brand obsessed, and try to make positive advancements with the retailers.

Cons

Senior VP's, big problem. Nothing is ever good enough. However the ones that can create change and are paid to think big don't. Or they are afraid. The amount of work and the quality that is asked of the field is undeliverable. Reading what BA's have posted on this site about their Represntitives is true. However by no fault of the Reps. The workload is to much. An example of a scramble of messages that always change. Product innovation has seized. Once a leader in innovation Chanel has stopped. Collections are repeated. Clients notice that there is nothing new, exciting, or desirable.

Bit of a let down

Pros

One of the top brand names to work for in luxury retail Amazing products with fantastic history and craftsmanship Staff sales annually Free beauty products & Costume Jewellery as uniform allowance (for girls only) Beauty & Fragrance orders several times a year heavily discounted (Male & female) Basic Salary plus group commission (not many places offer group commission which I feel is better as individual can sometimes cause issues between the team)

Cons

Uniform allowance applies to girls only for beauty products and costume jewelery There doesn't seem to be one unified working experience between various boutiques They have very high "pass the blame" mentality Operations are very backwards with very little room if any for suggestion bullying by management takes place on a regular basis with pressure put on certain individuals who aren't liked. Training is non existent but people are blamed for things not done correctly when they've never been taught the correct way in the first place The basic salary is not very good and could be more reflective of job expectations and work experience extremely slim chances of any sort of progression
