Pros

It's a great place to work as a sales consultant. The hours a flexible compared to traditional dealerships, the training is thorough, and their process is customer and sales consultant friendly. I loved working their as a sales consultant. Income is based off of your own efforts. You can make a decent income from $45 to $80k a year.

Cons

I hated working their as a manager. Scheduled to work a minimum of 50 hours or more, for very low pay. Tons of unnecessary, no-value added tasks to accomplish in a short window of time all while making sure the store meets their daily budget.

Pros

You get a fair shake here. Great benefits. Matching 401K, Discounted Stock options (20%) good health benefits, etc.. I have been in the car industry for a while. You do not have to deal with the BS that happens in traditional dealerships both on coworkers and managers. They truly set you up for success with great training.

Cons

Depending on where you live, you might have to work Sundays. I happened to work at a location that was open on Sundays (not every store in the company is) At times they try and be too "neutral" and politically correct. You can say more at Church than you can day at Carmax. The locations are very "sterile" (that was a comment used by a customer) and you can't have a personal space you can claim as your own. You get one (1) personal item to "display" in your cubical (if you have one) The compensation (sales) is far and away below industry standards.

Worst Place to Work. Not Best.

Pros

Business Casual Attire. Wearing jeans was great. Seeing coworkers wear the equivalent of pajamas to work every day was even better.

Cons

Offices and Stores in Atlanta have been in need of renovations for a while, but it hasn't been a priority. Some of the locations are pretty disgusting environments for Employees to work in. Compensation offered is very low to Employees, especially to Store Associates and Supervisors. If this doesn't prevent you from joining the company, then prepare to work on Windows 95 and on a computer that is a little old.
