Pros

The company has a very reputable name.. Get another job when possible.

Cons

Going further downhill especially with the new CEO. Downsizing, cost-ineffective solutions and management. Not willing to think outside the box or do enough research before making decisions. Upper management makes all the calls. HR is ineffective and money isn't great.

Pros

good office hours, decent benefits, work life balance is ideal compared to other industries

Cons

- this company is going nowhere due to horrible senior management - lack of forward thinking and innovation in key departments is helping drive business into ground - the fact that people have been there forever would usually be a good sign. however it also contributes to the fact that people aren't aware of current best practices or trends in the industry. - company politics and relationships between people drive decisions here rather than what will help save the business -- broken business model

Pros

Fast-paced work environment Structured work schedule on the features desk Room to suggest new story ideas, some managers particularly invested in helping employees to develop. Well-located in Camden market which promotes creativity and interaction with the community

Cons

Too much power given to middle management, micromanagement of day to day issues lead to lowered efficiency. Tight budgets affect the kind of local stories reported Certain resistance to experimenting with story ideas The control room centred transmission model means that the employees in MCR's level of comittment (or lack thereof) determines how much you can get done in a day in terms of booking FTP slot
