Pros

The noble mission of trying to inform the world with facts. Being able to witness history, large and small, every day. Good benefits.

Cons

The business model is toast. The long inexorable decline should be prompting massive change, but the current leadership makes only changes around the margins for finding new revenue. If you plan to work there, I suggest getting used to yearslong waits on making even the simplest decisions.
