Pros

Alstom Knoxville treats employees like the responsible adults they should be, placing an employee's success in his or her own hands. Flexible work schedule is available and benefits are good. Has had successful leadership and management in the past.

Cons

Alstom is a French-based company that has mandated multiple restructuring efforts over the last 2 years in an effort to centralize and globalize operations. This has forced the American divisions of Alstom to operate in the same manner and processes as its European sectors - the proverbial square peg in a round hole. The successful leadership and management of Alstom Knoxville has been handcuffed by European bureaucracy. Once the market picks up speed, I suspect Alstom Executive Mgmt. will become involved in executing business instead of attempting to change the way we execute business.
