Located in the Jura region in Lons-le-Saunier, SKF Aerospace France (360 employees) designs and manufactures complex, high value-added mechanical components (bearings and rod ends) for the aerospace industry. We have also established a leading position in the development of high-strength composite solutions for aerospace and aviation applications in general.
SKF Aerospace France currently works with all major French and international aerospace OEMs (Airbus, Dassault, Leonardo, etc.), as well as their suppliers.
We are recruiting a:
Special Processes Methods Engineer (M/F)
Are you familiar with one or more special processes (NDT, heat and surface treatment, painting, etc.)? Would you like to apply your energy and skills in a demanding and ambitious industrial environment?
Your responsibilities
You define and deploy Special Processes requirements from our customers and international standards for both in-house and subcontracted activities.
In a challenging environment with numerous issues to tackle, your role includes:
Analyzing customer and international standards, preparing and managing gap analysis matrices when required.
Ensuring the integration of requirements into work instructions and manufacturing routings; training, certifying, and maintaining operator certifications.
Monitoring and optimizing special processes for site activities (internal and external qualification files, preparation for internal and external process audits, leading action plans following audits or improvement projects, etc.).
Planning and facilitating, in coordination with Quality, training sessions for (re)certification of “special process” operators and carrying out certification tests.
Providing technical expertise in non-conformance resolution, within innovation/development projects, introduction of new products or equipment, design and manufacturing/control file reviews, and validating technical changes.
Participating in the Aerospace BU special process expert network.
Contributing to continuous improvement and service optimization (audits, technical/technological/regulatory monitoring, etc.) and leading improvement actions.
What you bring
With an engineering degree in Materials or a DUT in Physical Measurements complemented by training in Materials or Special Processes, you have solid knowledge in metallurgy and mechanics, along with at least initial experience in special processes (surface treatments, heat treatments, non-destructive testing, etc.).
You are comfortable using Quality and problem-solving tools (8D, Ishikawa/5M, 5 Whys, etc.), conducting FMEA, capability studies and R&R analyses, and working with statistical data.
You are able to communicate effectively, lead working groups/meetings in improvement projects, problem-solving initiatives and training sessions.
You demonstrate strong analytical and synthesis skills, listening ability, rigor, and team spirit.
You are proficient in English, both written and spoken.

Occasional travel within France is required.
