Joining GE Vernova as an intern means becoming part of a global leader in the energy transition. As a member of the Inquiry to Order (ITO) team, you will contribute to the design of Energy Management Systems (EMS) and Power Management Systems (PMS) for some of the world's most demanding industries, including Oil & Gas, Marine, and next-generation Data Center infrastructure.
We are committed to ensuring that the scope of your responsibilities and the complexity of the projects assigned to you evolve in line with your academic program. Your supervisor will ensure that your work contributes directly to your final thesis and supports your learning objectives.
Under the guidance of your mentor (a senior technical expert), you will progressively develop your expertise by supporting the early phases of large-scale industrial projects.
Learn to interpret customer technical specifications, including Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and Load Lists.
Assist in developing the I/O database (signals and data exchange).
Gain hands-on experience with the configuration of redundant industrial network architectures, including PRP and HSR ring topologies.
Contribute to the preparation of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support solution costing in collaboration with the Procurement team.
Assist in preparing technical proposals and completing compliance matrices.
Participate in internal technical meetings with Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
Attend Technical Clarification meetings with international customers to gain insight into their operational requirements and business challenges.
Currently pursuing a Master's degree or an Engineering degree (4th or 5th year of higher education) with a specialization in:
Electrical Engineering
Control Systems / Automation
Industrial Computer Engineering
Solid fundamentals in electrical engineering, including the ability to read electrical schematics.
Basic knowledge of IP networking.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Good command of English, as the position involves working in an international environment.
Strong technical curiosity and a genuine interest in learning about mission-critical systems.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Team-oriented mindset with effective communication skills.
You will work closely with senior experts who each have more than 15 years of industry experience, providing valuable guidance and professional development throughout your internship.
Rather than working on hypothetical assignments, you will contribute directly to live commercial proposals and engineering solutions for major international customers.
