Detailed description of the mission

• It’s about Geospatial Data Science
• You will help ATR continue to develop its MobilityMonitor platform to explore and communicate about human mobility trends
• You will use Pyspark and MS Azure Databricks to work with gigantic volumes of Mobile GPS Data
• You will use and improve our analytics pipeline to estimate inter-city travel volumes by mode of travel, for specific countries in line with our commercial objectives
• You will use CARTO and PowerBI to develop interactive dashboards
• You will develop an interesting market story for specific countries, and share your findings within ATR and with our customers
• You will be a part of the Business Development team, will interface with Marketing & Sales, and can expect opportunities to meet external parties including airlines and government bodies

This internship is designed for you

• A university education in Data Science, preferability with a Geospatial component
• Interest in human transportation needs
• Coding ability and a willingness to learn Python & Pyspark if not already skilled
• Ability to solve analytical problems by conceptualising and implementing new algorithms
• Familiarity with existing research basis for processing of mobility data will be a plus
• Ability to synthesise data and information into clear communications and dashboards

Description détaillée de la mission

• Il s'agit de science des données géospatiales
• Vous aiderez ATR de developer son plateforme ‘MobilityMonitor’, pour explorer et communiquer sur les besoins humains de mobilité
• Vous utiliserez Pyspark et MS Azure Databricks pour travailler avec des volumes gigantesques de données GPS mobiles
• Vous utiliserez notre pipeline d'analyse pour estimer les volumes de déplacements interurbains par mode de déplacement, pour des pays spécifiques conformément à nos objectifs commerciaux
• Vous utiliserez des logiciels tels que CARTO et PowerBI pour développer des tableaux de bord interactifs
• Vous trouverez une analyse de marché intéressante et partagerez vos conclusions au sein d'ATR et avec nos clients
• Vous ferez partie de l'équipe de développement commercial, vous interagirez avec le marketing et les ventes et pourrez-vous attendre à des opportunités de rencontrer des parties externes, notamment des compagnies aériennes et des organismes gouvernementaux

Ce stage est conçu pour vous

• Une formation universitaire en science des données, de préférence avec une composante géospatiale
• Intérêt pour les besoins en transport humain
• Capacité de codage et volonté d'apprendre Python et Pyspark si vous n'êtes pas déjà compétent
• Capacité à résoudre des problèmes analytiques en conceptualisant et en mettant en œuvre de nouveaux algorithmes
• Une connaissance des bases de recherche existantes pour le traitement des données de mobilité sera un plus
• Capacité à synthétiser des données et des informations dans des communications claires et tableaux de bord
