I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Wegmans Food Markets (Collegeville, PA) in Dec 2024
Interview
The initial interview was a phone interview. For a part-time position that is only paying 15.50 an hour, they acted like I was applying for a full-time career in an organization making 150K per year. The interview lasted 40 minutes and they asked quite a few of behavioral based questions that made you think. I was semi-unprepared for that thinking that this is just a "Joe job" for additional income and I was not seeking a full-time career with Wegmans.
However, I am educated and I was able to articulate my answers and I did well on the interview only to be rejected. It is either they though I was way to overqualified or they felt threatened that someone like me would join the organization and climb the ranks too quickly. I guess they want to hire lazy, uneducated, young people.

It was quick and easy. They asked general questions and they mainly just wanted to get to know you as a person to then hire you if you fit a certain criteria.
