The process took 3 days. I interviewed at UPS in Sep 2011
Interview
Got an email from HR to come to a Tour/Interview at 5am. Got there early, there were at least 6-7 of us gave us a tour and called us for a 1:1 interview. HR just asked about our availability and that its a really physical demanding job. Got offered for a 2nd interview probably because I was the only one that dressed professional, the rest were wearing jeans. The interview with HR was a Wednesday and got a 2nd interview set up on Friday. Friday, got there early again then there were only 4 of us, got interviewed by the Manager and then received a job offer through email 2 hours after the interview.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at UPS (Danbury, CT) in Jun 2011
Interview
I first applied online. I was then invited in to see the facilities along with a few other people seeking the position. I had a one on one interview with the woman in charge of hiring. She described the position, outlining the hours, environment, benefits, and union. She asked basic questions, and was seemingly just trying to see if I was trustworthy and capable. About a week after the interview I was offered the job. Apparently even if they have multiple openings they can only hire one person at a time for training purposes.
