I had a recruiter reach out to me to discuss potential positions. I wasn't interested at the time due to a current position, however, I obliged under the preface that it was certainly something I'd be keen to explore in the future. We had a few conversations over a period of time and all of them were positive and eluded towards moving forward so that when I was ready to move, we were in a good place. Immediately following our most recent chat, I was advised that I'd be put in touch with someone at a high level. I then did not hear back from the recruiter for about a month, and the conversations following this were very sporadic and inconsistent. For a company that focuses on communication, I certainly had higher expectations.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Slack (Melbourne)
Interview
Overall a pretty in-depth interview process
8 stages of interviews all up
- phone screen
- call with hiring manager
- call with global leader
- meet the team (overseas - due to travel arrangements)
- meet the team local
- chronological interview
- reference check ( to prove your CI)
- final presentation
3 months duration
- overall a very rewarding interview process, they are not only evaluating you, but your views on their values, ability to execute .. by the end of it you get a feeling of belong ! Hiring recruiter was very helpful !
I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Slack (Dublin, Dublin) in May 2018
Interview
Coffee and a chat with the hiring manager to understand more about the team and role, recruiter screening, in person interview covering education and past jobs, panel interview presentation to sales managers, hiring manager and potential teammate. Everyone I spoke to was very professional and friendly throughout and it was a very pleasant experience.
