I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SAP (Vancouver, BC) in May 2017
Interview
I applied through the website. Was provided 3 questions on hackerank, then asked for an in-person interview. During the interview process, I was asked to solve algorithms regarding linked-lists, BST and arrays and complexity of the algorithms.
The interviewer was a manager and a very quiet developer who nodded at times. Lacked patience in hearing the correct answers. Interrupted me multiple times. Was at times dismissive about what I offered as solutions and about my resume and projects. They didn't care about what I had worked on and what my experiences were. They just wanted to see algorithmic solutions. I heard very good things about the culture at SAP but didn't see that at this interview.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SAP (Vancouver, BC) in May 2016
Interview
I applied on SAP careers webpage for a Junior Developer role. This position was referred to me by a friend who said SAP was looking for new employees. About a week later, I was asked to do a coding quiz on HackerRank. I tried the quiz twice as the first time my internet connection crashed. Contacted the recruiter and the quiz was reset. The quiz had three questions.
I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at SAP (Vancouver, BC) in Aug 2016
Interview
I applied late July, Early Aug I got an online test, 3 programming questions. A week later I was invited for on-site interview, a technical interview with two senior developers; 2 coding questions; followed up by a behavioural interview with two hiring managers. At the end of interview on of the hiring manager told me they no longer need junior developers and now they are recruiting for intermediates and juniors!!! It was such a waste of time! And it wasn't the end of it, it took them 6 weeks to finally send a rejection email.
