I was invited to apply as a candidate after meeting the Riot team at GDC San Francisco in 2011. The interview process for the game tech team lasted a few months and included a "weed-out" programming test, two phone interviews, and an onsite interview. The phone interviews were extremely technical and delved into my abilities as an engineer right off the bat. The onsite interview lasted approximately 7 hours and included lunch along with several pair/solo interviews with other engineers from the team. The questions were always very fair but tough, and often required deep understanding of core principles in programming in order to come to a solution. Definitely one of the harder interviews I have experienced, but still very fun.
