Phone Screen: The first step in the interview process is a brief phone screen with a member of the HR team. This is an opportunity for the candidate to learn more about the company and the position, and for the HR team to assess the candidate's qualifications and fit for the role. First Round Interview: The next step is a first round interview with one or more members of the hiring team. This interview is typically more in-depth than the phone screen, and will focus on the candidate's skills, experience, and fit for the company culture. Second Round Interview: If the candidate is successful in the first round interview, they may be invited to a second round interview. This interview is typically more technical in nature, and may involve a skills assessment or case study. Decision: After all of the interviews have been completed, the hiring team will make a decision about whether to offer the position to the candidate.
Hands down the worst experience I've ever had with a recruiter. The recruiter refused to ever email me and would only call me out of the blue without scheduling any conversation. In our initial conversation, I tried to review my history with the recruiter but she kept interrupting me asking questions completely unrelated to the experience I was sharing. It was obvious she was just wanting to check boxes and fill out an internal form without really learning anything about me. I shared that I was looking to interview in about 4 weeks in the future as I wanted time to prepare. She told me this would be unacceptable and that I had to interview within the week. I initially agreed as I was taken back by how forceful she was. After the call, I emailed her stating I wanted to have enough time to prepare and that I understood if this impacted the roles I could be considered for. No response. If that is the average experience at Oracle, I would never want to work there. Got the feeling they just wanted devs they could walk over and be forceful with.
