I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (Cambridge, MA)
Interview
Received a request via e-mail for a phone screening about a week after applying. Spoke with a very nice recruiter, who acted as a liaison throughout a process extending three rounds. Pretty generic first round. Spoke with dept VP over the phone in the second round, and on-site including two potential coworkers in the third. Interviews grew in rigor each time. Very close attention to industry knowledge; questions both regarding aspects of your background -- why you worked in certain areas -- and inbound marketing as a whole. HubSpot's competitors, what sets them apart, and ultimately what sets you apart.

Question 1
A few jumped me a little, but generally open-ended questions. "Teach me something" may have been the hardest, though I expected it from vetting the company online. Others asked to compare HubSpot to its closest competitors. Final tough one commented on my background, and why I'd be a good fit despite it.
