I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Google (Ireland, IN)
Interview
I interviewed with Google for a Software Engineering Intern position after applying through a referral. The process started with an online assessment, followed by two technical interviews and one behavioral round, each lasting around 45 minutes. The technical interviews mainly focused on data structures and algorithms, where I was asked to solve coding problems and explain my approach clearly, along with discussing one of my past projects in detail. The behavioral round included questions about teamwork, problem-solving, and handling challenges. Overall, the interviewers were professional and supportive, and they encouraged me to explain my thought process when solving problems. I would rate the overall difficulty as challenging but fair, and the entire process took about a month from application to final decision.
I first had two completely technical interviews. After I had a third technical tiebreaker interview. There were no behavioral questions. Each interveiw only one question was asked, though there were follwups
2 back to back 45 minutes interviews, both with DSA, leetcode medium. One with binary search, one with hashing and 2 pointers. Interviewers were really great but I didn't know how to solve the second problem.
