Interview
I connected with an alum from my university and she set me up with a phone interview a week later. Questions were mostly straightforward and as expected. Was supposed to hear back within a week, but didn't find out until I followed up two weeks later. Pretty painless process, though I was not offered the position.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Was asked to name the current holders of 8-10 different positions in the U.S. government, including the Governor of Maryland
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CNN (Pékin, Pékin) in Aug 2011
Interview
I talked to the bureau chief and he said there was an opening. I went in for an interview with a bureau chief along with human resources listening in. They asked me basic interview questions and wanted to know if I was planning on staying longer. The job has a very high turnover rate due to the lack of advancement. An associate producer in that office cannot advance unless the producer quits, which has not happened in quite a few years so often times the associate producer just leaves after 2-3 years.
