Recruiter contacted me on Linkedin, submitted my application in mid December. Attended 4 interviews. (1 in person, 3 video call via Zoom). Was successful in all 4 interviews and after chasing for a decision for 3 weeks after the 4th interview, I was eventually informed that they had offered the role to someone else.
Interview times proposed were inflexible and always on a weekend or early morning (9am) to accommodate the team in China. During all of the interviews, it felt like a laid back approach and unprofessional. During the 1st interview, I felt like I was being interrogated which was not a good start to the recruitment process. During the 2nd interview, my interviewer was sat in what appeared to be a public space and I could see random people walking behind him ocassionally stopping to stare into his screen. Questions asked were unstructured and seemed to not have been prepared beforehand. The interviewers communication skills were bad and they struggled to ask questions in English.
This is by far the worse recruitment process that I have underwent in my career to date. All in all a terrible experience and not worth your time and effort. The process took 10 weeks end to end which is ridiculous. I work in HR and I can say with confidence that this recruitment team have no idea of what they are doing. A joke of a company and I am happy that in retrospect, I did not fall into the trap of accepting the job offer and having to work for an employer who does not value you as an employee.
