I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Bloomberg (Raleigh, NC) in Feb 2014
Interview
Lasted for an hour. Basic screening at the career fair and then was called for an interview the next day. had two people interviewing me. Setup was quite informal. And interviewers were kind to help out if you got stuck with a problem.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked about programming. Gave a scenario and was asked to code. Further went on optimizing the solution. Had to give them 4 possible solutions each with a reduced complexity than the previous one before they moved on to the next question. Further, was asked to write a code in java for a scenario they gave.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Bloomberg (New York, NY) in Feb 2014
Interview
questions about operating system and C++. C ++ virtual function, the detain of malloc(new). And some algorithm questions(2SUM etc.).
So if you want to be hired, you must prepare C++ common questions. like virtual function, malloc, new, delete, memory management, and of course algorithm.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
find target in a unsorted array. I think it is straightforward. But in the signal of interviewer's face, I think i did not do well.
Applied online through campus career center. Got contacted for a phone interview. Interviewer asked two simple questions which I answered correctly. I had to dictate the code to him over the phone. He then asked me why I wanted to work there and if I had any questions about the company.
