I applied through other source. I interviewed at Apple in Oct 2019
Interview
First off, apple interview was the worst interview I ever had, and here is why:
I received an email from apple recruiter requesting interview time with their hiring manager. This caught me with surprise as I did NOT apply for any of the apple positions recently. I asked the HR to give me the job description for the position they are interviewing me for, which I did not receive. instead they gave me time that hiring manager will call me. they didn't specify how long the duration will be, what they will be asking for and what position they will be interviewing me for. Imagine getting a call not knowing what this will be about.
The hiring manager called me at the specific time and started to ask questions without explaining anything about the role. She kept asking questions after questions without pausing for a second, it mainly felt like interrogation than interview and I mean it when I say that.
After 28 minutes of questions, she said we have only two more minutes. you can now ask questions. I had no idea interview is only 30 minutes as it was not communicated with me clearly not by HR and not by the hiring manager.
I asked what would be the expectation from this role and her answer blew my mind! Im sure if Steve Jobs was alive he would have been shocked himself to hear what his team is telling people.
She said we are looking for people to just execute the project and we are not looking for innovative people. pure traditional project management nothing creative.
My advise to you is, don't look at the brand, see what the job is really about. I know you hear apple and first thing that comes to your mind is creativity, however my experience proved me otherwise.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Apple (Cupertino, CA) in Apr 2026
Interview
Reached out by HR for initial screening by HM. Interviewed with HM for 30 mins. Brief intro followed by questions on background & the work I have done and the product I have launched. Career trajectory
Best interview process I had in years. Very professional and went all the way to the last round. Disappointed I didn't get an offer but it was a great experience.
Behavioral interviews and case question at the end testing storytelling, the final presentation can be on any topic it’s very Apple. People are very kind and it’s culture driven not typical case questions.
